Heyyy 👋🏾 wanted to expand our current series with a special 3-part feature... a glimpse into what we take in here 🤗 so much so that I've created tea blends that contain many, if not all, of these herbs in some way or fashion. You can search for specific herbs on our site 🫖

||🌱Daily Herbs - Pt 1🌱||

Heyyyy herbal enthusiasts! Thought about taking a slightly different approach and wanted to share with some of the herbs that are a regular part of our consumption regimen here in our home... basically on a daily basis. Not only are they delicious (and I'm somewhat of a picky one), but they have sooooo much to offer holistically that it would be almost silly not to 😉. From teas, meal prep, to light refreshing desserts... it definitely goes in this belly

🌱Fennel: Fennel seeds are often interlinked to ‘longevity’ and are known for offering a wide range of nutritional properties that aid in improving the well being of the body. Moreover, fennel seeds offer a concentrated source of different minerals that are vital for the regulation of blood pressure, as well as for the retention of water inside our body. It's used around the world in mouth fresheners, toothpaste, desserts, antacids, and in various culinary applications. According to the USDA National Nutrient Database, fennel is a source of energy, vitamin C, dietary fiber, potassium and other essential minerals like calcium, phosphorus, and sodium

🌱Hibiscus: The health benefits of hibiscus include its ability to aid hypertension and reduce high blood pressure, assist in lowering blood sugar levels, promote healthy hair growth and improve liver health. It also helps in improving digestion and treating depression. Research suggests that it may speed up metabolism and help in aiding healthy, gradual weight loss

🌱Moringa: Moringa, a nutrient-packed plant, is also known as the “miracle tree.” With antifungal, antiviral, antidepressant, and anti-inflammatory properties, it has been used for generations to treat skin, digestive, and heart conditions, to name a few, and it possesses more antioxidants than other superfoods like acai and green tea. Moringa oleifera is a multi-purpose herbal plant used as food and an alternative for medicinal purposes worldwide. It has been identified by researchers as a plant with numerous health benefits including nutritional and holistic advantages

Spearmint: Very closely related to peppermint with regard to its active ingredients and ways in which it is used for health benefits. Holistic uses of both mint preparations aid in digestion, relieving sore throats & toothaches is common, and some people find relief by using spearmint as a local pain killer or as an antispasmodic aid for cramps. Spearmint is used for relief of nausea, cold symptoms, stomach distress, and headaches. Spearmint oil and leaves are also used in the preparation of medicines. Digestive disorders, such as indigestion is sometimes relieved by spearmint, along with other maladies that include IBS and gall bladder problems.

Strawberry leaves: Has a mild, fruity flavor and is one of the highest sources of naturally occurring Vitamin C available. As with raspberry leaf, it makes a very pleasant spring tonic and may be especially beneficial to pregnant and nursing mothers. It can be very soothing to the stomach. Strawberry leaves can be used in tea, in order to reap their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. The leaves are found to be rich in bioactive natural sources, and contain antioxidant agents
